USA (Orange): The USA leads in funding throughout the period, with significant growth from 2016. In 2021, funding reaches over $50 billion, making it a standout year for AI investments. Post-2021, although funding decreases, the USA remains the largest contributor.

China (Blue): There is a gradual funding increase after 2014, with rapid growth from 2016 to 2021. After 2021, funding stabilizes and the growth rate slows.

Europe (Red): Europe shows the slowest growth, with a smaller funding share compared to the USA and China. There is a slight increase post-2016, but the gap with the USA and China is substantial.

Proportional Contribution: The USA is the majority contributor, particularly post-2016, often exceeding two-thirds of total funding. China consistently holds the second position in funding levels after 2016, far surpassing Europe, which lags in contribution with a relatively stable but small share.

Implications: The USA continues to lead in funding and innovation, sustaining high levels post-growth. China remains a strong growth contender but faces challenges in sustaining momentum post-2021. Europe encounters structural or economic constraints that limit its ability to scale funding compared to the USA and China.
